Posting a job is easy. Getting the right applicants, and not three hundred wrong ones, is the hard part. This guide shows employers in Nepal how to post a job that works, from company verification to marking the role filled.
Step 1: Create and verify your company
On Alwass, a company must be verified before it can post. You provide your business registration and PAN; an administrator checks them. It takes a little time at the start, and it is the reason job seekers trust the listings they see. Verified companies show a badge on every job they post.
Step 2: Write a job post people can say yes to
A good job post answers the questions candidates would otherwise ask you one by one:
A plain job title. "Sales Executive" gets found; "Growth Ninja" does not.
The salary range. Posts with a salary get more serious applicants and fewer who drop out at the offer stage.
Location and job type: full-time, part-time, contract, remote or field work.
What the person will actually do, in five or six bullet points.
Must-have requirements, kept short. Every extra requirement shrinks your applicant pool.
Step 3: Add screening questions
Screening questions are asked of every applicant when they apply: yes/no, multiple choice or a short answer. Mark the right answer and each candidate arrives with a score like "Answers 4/5", shown next to their skills match.
You can also mark a question as a must-have. A different answer is flagged in red on the candidate's card, but nobody is rejected automatically, so a question set up by mistake never throws good people out unseen.
Step 4: Hiring for many roles? Upload them all at once
If you are hiring for several positions, you do not have to post them one by one. Download the spreadsheet template, fill in one row per job and upload it. Every row is checked before anything goes live, and either every job is posted or none is, so you never end up with half an import. You can post up to 50 new jobs in any 24 hours.
Step 5: Move candidates through your pipeline
Your applicants land in a pipeline board, one per job. Shortlist, schedule interviews (with a video link, a calendar file and automatic reminders the day before), make an offer and mark the hire, all in one place.
Step 6: Reject kindly, and close the role
When you turn someone down, pick a reason from the list. The candidate sees it in kind, fixed words, with something to improve. When the role is filled, use Mark as filled: the listing closes and everyone still waiting is told, so nobody is left hanging. That is how an employer builds a good name in a small job market like Nepal's.
Frequently asked questions
How many jobs can I post for free in Nepal on Alwass?
The free plan keeps 1 job live at a time. Pro raises it to 10 and Business removes the limit. You can also buy job credits for extra posts without a plan. See job posting prices in Nepal for details.
Can I upload many jobs at once?
Yes. Download the template, fill it in and upload it. Every row is checked before anything goes live, and either every row is posted or none is.
What is a must-have question?
A screening question where a different answer is flagged in red on the candidate's card. It never rejects anybody automatically.
The role is filled. What do I do?
Use Mark as filled on the job. The listing closes and everyone still waiting is told the position is filled.
