Montessori teachers look after and teach young children, usually between two and six years old, through play, hands-on materials and gentle routines. Montessori schools, pre-schools, kindergartens and the early grades of private schools in Nepal hire them, along with assistant teachers and classroom aides.
The roles
Classroom aide. Helps with children's care, meals, cleaning and materials.
Assistant teacher. Supports the lead teacher and runs small group activities.
Montessori teacher. Leads the classroom and plans each child's learning.
