Guidelines for the Alwass network
This is a professional space built around work: hiring, getting hired, freelancing, and learning. The rules below are short on purpose, and every restriction listed here is actually enforced by the system — nothing on this page is decoration.
Do this
- Share work you actually did, learned, or are hiring for.
- Ask real questions — even basic ones. Someone else has the same one.
- Attach a job or project from Alwass when you mention an opportunity, so people can act on it.
- Say who you are. Real names and real roles get real replies.
- Disagree with the idea, not the person.
Not this
- No spam, chain posts, or the same message reposted across topics.
- No harassment, hate, slurs, or targeting someone by name.
- No fake or misleading job offers, salaries, or fees.
- No asking candidates for money to apply, be placed, or be interviewed.
- No sharing anyone's phone number, address, documents, or ID.
- No adult, violent, or illegal content.
- No impersonating a company, recruiter, or another member.
What happens when a rule is broken
In order, from lightest to heaviest.
New accounts are limited for the first 3 days
Up to 3 posts and 15 comments a day, 20 follows a day, and no web links in a post. Attach an Alwass job or project instead. This is automatic and lifts by itself — you don't need to ask.
Established members get generous limits
Up to 20 posts a day, 60 comments an hour, 100 follows a day, and links are allowed. These exist to stop scripted flooding, not to slow down a real person.
Reported posts go to a human
Anyone signed in can report a post, once per post, with a reason. Reports land in the moderation queue where an admin reviews the post in context. Reporting is not a vote — one honest report is enough, and piling on doesn't speed it up.
Removal
If a post breaks these rules it's removed and you get a notification saying why. Removal hides the post from everyone, including you. A first removal is a correction, not a ban.
Suspension
Repeated or serious breaches — scams, harassment, fake pay claims, asking candidates for money — suspend the account. A suspended account can still sign in and see the site, but cannot post, comment, like, or follow anywhere on the network.
What we never do
We don't sell your posts, we don't show who saved a post (saving is private to you), and we don't let employers see your reports. Following someone is public; saving is not.
The small print that matters
- Posts are up to 3,000 characters; comments up to 1,000.
- A post can carry up to 5 topics and one attached job or project.
- You can delete your own posts and comments at any time.
- Posts are public — anyone on the internet can read them, signed in or not.
- Group discussions live in Community groups and follow these same rules.
