Every job on Alwass is marked one of three ways: On-site, Remote or Hybrid. The words sound obvious, but choosing between them affects where you can live, what you spend, how you learn and how you are noticed. Here is how to decide.
On-site
You work at the employer's premises every working day.
Good for: jobs that need your hands or your presence (hotels, hospitals, construction, retail, field work), people early in their career who learn fastest by watching others, and anyone who wants a clear line between work and home.
Costs: travel time and fares, and you must live near the workplace.
Remote
You can do the whole job from home or anywhere with internet.
Good for: people outside the big cities, parents and carers, and people who focus best alone. It opens jobs in Kathmandu to someone living in Dhangadhi or Ilam.
Costs: you need reliable internet and power, you must manage your own time, and it can be lonely. Learning from colleagues takes more effort because you do not overhear anything.
Hybrid
Some days at the office, some days at home.
Good for: people who want both focus days and team days, and who live within reach of the office.
Costs: you still pay for travel on office days, and you still need a home setup.
How to choose
Ask yourself three questions:
Where do you want to live? If not near a city office, remote is your main option.
How do you learn best? If you need someone to show you, start on-site or hybrid.
Can you keep a routine alone? Be honest. Remote rewards self-discipline.
